| Rules (19 Mar 2008) |
1 - Rules and policies:
No multiple accounts are allowed.
Be polite to your fellow Member. Speak your opinion in a mature and respectful way, and don't try to insult anyone.
No discrimination of any kind, no Nazi propaganda or racism will be tolerated here (and please, don't use any avatar, banner or nickname 'linked' with such ideologies).
Respect the Staff, Moderators and Admins. If you have received a warning, better heed it - or get yourself banned.
There should be no complaining in the forums about your posts locked or removed, or people getting banned. If you feel it was a mistake, send a PM to a Moderator. You should read the FAQ and PM a Staff member for explanations if you feel something wasn't right.
No pornographic, nude or gore pictures here. If you really want to share them with us, use links and a clear warning.
2 - The rules of posting:
Refrain from using Caps Lock, unless you really need to shout something - a couple of words, maximum one sentence. Never write the whole topic title in uppercase!
While we understand that we can't ask people to write in pure academic English, there are still minimum requirements:
- Start sentences and topic titles with capital letters.
- Check your message for mistakes before submitting it.
Name your topics accordingly to their content. If you're writing about some particular subject, try to reflect it in your topic title as clear as possible. Titles like 'Check this out!' are no good.
Try to stay on-topic - if you want to discuss something unrelated, open a new thread for it. Turning off topic a serious discussion serves no good to the quality of the forums.
Replying with a phrase like 'it sucks' without backing it up with some argument is totally useless and will only offend people. Please, go start flame wars somewhere else.
Don't go bashing bands (or any other subject for that matter) you don't like unless you really have something of worth to say. You don't like a band - fine, but there's no need to go stick your nose into every thread dedicated to this band. The same goes to starting band-bashing threads.
This is not the place to spam and post nonsense. Before starting a new topic think if it's worth posting at all.
3 - Girls Section:
Girls Only:
Well, Yes and No. Firstly, I know this is Girls Section, so we can discuss all matters that we, as members of the female persuasion, encounter in our daily routines. But I don't want this to be a place where everyone waves the "Girl Power" flag, so I decided that guys are allowed in every topic. They can even make new posts, as long as they want to:
- Ask the girls something
- Talk about female bands
- I'm sure there are so many reasons that I can think of right now.
Spelling:
I cannot say this enough: Please watch your spelling. While no one expects you to have perfect literary English (mine certainly isn't), it would be nice if you made an effort, in order to everyone understand what the hell are you trying to say. Please use either the Firefox Extension or the fair and beloved English Dictionary to assist you in all your doubts.
Formatting the text:
Please refrain from posting in colors, alignment to the right, caps, underline if not needed, and so on and so on and so on.
